If you could have a theme song what would it be and why?

Some great songs coming out so far, keep em coming.

If you do post something though, unless the reason is really person, can you enlighten us on why you picked that song? (Cool to see some of you writing a little blurb
)

Just because you like the song? Or something deeper to it?

You are right
I didn't explain.

I edited my post and wrote the reason for choosing my theme.

Pretty much anything by James, but this one is especially poignant to me.

or this one, there's just no way I could choose just one:

I would have to say mine would be Flyleafs "Fully alive". Its about enjoying life no matter what hardships you had went through. My favorite line is "Im ashamed of all my 'somethings'." Just about enjoying life and feeling alive.

Yeah, it still hurts my head thinking about how difficult it would be to play the percussive intro.

I'm not the biggest fan of the band, but that song is really something.

Thing is I've got a short film coming up later in the year that needs a tribal theme - into - guitar riff song for it's intro and that song would be perfect... now to go through the rigmarole of bickering and bartering with the record label.

Anyway, I'm getting off topic in my own thread

I'm going to break my own rules and post a 2nd theme for myself.

I'm currently obsessed with this artist and his incredible journey and message. This song describes pretty much the effect I would love to be able to have on the world.

That is a great CD. My six year old loves it too! We listen to it all the time on the way to school. What an interesting story he has indeed!

Best bit is that the music is kid friendly. None of this drugs, sex and money theme that basically dominates the pop music scene.

I find it highly refreshing when an artist can write brilliant songs that don't rely on these underwhelming and overused cliches.

I have a couple since I am a Gemini I think I am entitled, lol
1st would be the Pink Panther theme by Henry Mancini, I got my first Pink Panther in 1967 and have always had one since.
2nd would be Du Hast by Rammstein.

Du
du hast
du hast mich
du hast mich gefragt
du hast mich gefragt, und ich hab nichts gesagt

Willst du bis der Tod euch scheidet
treu ihr sein für alle Tage

Nein

Willst du bis zum Tod, der scheide
sie lieben auch in schlechten Tagen

Nein

That's me,
Pinky

Well here's one of them....

Lately
I've been
Living in my head
The rest of me is dead
I'm dying for truth
Make me
Believe
No more left and right
Come on take my side
I'm fighting for you x2

(Chorus)
Pleased to meet you, take my hand
There is no way back from here
Pleased to meet you, say your prayers
But I don't care
No way back from here

Wake me
I'm ready
Something don't seem right
I was dreaming I was talking to you
Memory
Mend me
You know I've seen my share
Of things I can't repair
I'll break it to you x2

(Chorus)
Pleased to meet you, take my hand
There is no way back from here
Pleased to meet you, say your prayers
But I don't care
No way back from here

(Chorus)
Pleased to meet you, take my hand
There is no way back from here
Pleased to meet you, say your prayers
But I don't care
No way back from here

Live Forever

Noel leaving OASIS really pinched this week because I grew upon OASIS, and I always loved this song. I remember driving with my friends, all the windows down on a warm summer night singing this song.

Maybe I just wanna fly, wanna live, I don't wanna die...

Great choice and great reasoning. I am gutted about Oasis. A newer fan but love them none the less. Glad I got to see them when I did.

I think I could add The Importance of Being Idle

And my favorite lyric being

"I'll be fine, if you give me a minute, a man's got a limit
I can't get a life if my heart's not in it"

Yes, I did mean Shallow Life...I am an idiot. I also love 1:19 of Unleashed Memories

I love all Lacuna Coil's music and Christina's vocals are hauntingly beautiful.

Cristina Scabbia and Trent Reznor were part of a music based hybrid program started by the reptilians lol.

The end result of such an evil spawnage ?

Somehow I was expecting something much more thoughtful out of you. I don't know why...
