War of Conquest (WoC) Free On-line Multiplayer

Just wanted to bring this to gamers attention, and get advice from any players.

It's a free client download, then install and play. Real time versus thousands on-line. Basically the game is a cross between RISK and CIVILIZATION. Very slow, tedious and ADDICTIVE.

Keep in mind, this is strategy. Not action. Free, though you can purchase credits to "cheat" though you can also "win" credits by playing well.

I've made a few bucks all of which I've spent back on the game, but you get the idea.

Question: Anyone else tried this? Strategies? I'm good, but there are people who've been playing for years and are awesome. There's also the abilities to unite and ally, so who knows.

I've got a couple Level 50 nations, but I'm always starting Noobiecountries to raid Orbs for credits and send them up to my main nations.

Well? Anyone played?

Well, what did you think? The tendency is to hate it at first. I did.

Then I made my first penny. Ding!

I don't know, it's just crazy. I've talked to several of the guys that have won hundreds, and even beat the pants off the all time #3 winner (over a thousand dollars) in a two day face off.

I played non-stop a few days and got a nation up to level 110 which held quite a few of the little money making suckers for a couple days before being routed one night when I logged off. That's the real time kicker.

You don't want to log off once you get into it, because someone is just waiting to steal your land, resources and "orbs."

I like the on-going chat during battles. You can talk smack. I've also e-mailed the creator and got a nice response. Mike. Cool guy.

Don't be scared by the money aspect though. Yes, you CAN spend money on it, but you don't have to. In fact, it's kind of seen as cooler if you don't.

To give you an idea, you start out with 250 free credits. That's $2.50. You buy permanent improvements once you've researched them, like Forts or Intelligent Nanbot Swarms...etc. These are like 9 cents (credits) or maybe 14...it just depends. So winning a couple dollars really goes far. Or spending.

Not trying to over-hype...just need allies.

I'll whisper you on WOC if you give me the name. I was thinking of starting a new one anyway...probably [um, NM].

It won't do much good to ally nations in two different worlds as you "migrate" at level 30 then again at level 110 and start over. We should try to grow pretty much side by side to be effective.
