Police Raid Home of Wikileaks

Man, I wonder what information got a response from the Feds like that. I mean, Someone must have uploaded something very serious, whether it's something they are trying to cover-up or they are trying to find the source that could lead them to some sort of criminal.

They didn't seem to do a very good job, I guess the agents are slacking.

i'm guessing this might be the reason Sen. Rockefeller is calling the internet the largest threat to national security....or does he really mean the biggest threat to the "status quo"??? Fight the good fight! Right Arm!

This is the start of things to come, but its like wallpapering over a crack. Once you show the masses that you are trying to hide something you can no longer be trusted and people will ask questions.

Its like trying to ban torrents, you close one door 100 more open. Unless they incorporate some kind of fascim to their plans (which of course will have detramental effects on public suppport) it cannot be done.

Scramble IP'S sofware, bypass Proxys, Private Servers you name it they will grow and grow.

'The powers that be' can only control the masses if they have something they need, if we are self sufficient what can they do?

I believe we may see a few wikiLEAKS coming out in the next few days, snapshot applications at the ready everyone.

The raid appears to be related to a recent German social hysteria around child pornography and the controversial battle for a national censorship system by the German family minister Ursula von der Leyen. It comes just a few weeks after a member of parliament, SPD minister Joerg Tauss had his office and private house searched by police. German bloggers discussing the subject were similarly raided.

This is a disturbing trend.
The homes of several bloggers where also raided.
Do people have to think about what they post on sites like ATS for example because their homes could be raided for something they posted.

So according to these new internet laws or guidelines it is even forbidden to host links to illegal sites, is that how they could raid the wikileaks?

The blocking of URL's does not even seem to be very effective in fighting child abuse websites, it seems more of a way to pave the way for internet monitoring of all users.
I mean, IP's and URL's can be dynamic right, they could change every day.

I agree, getting cp of the net should be a number 1 priority everywhere, but this isn't about that, it's about stopping the Aussie people from learning the truth about what's happening, and what's about to happen, I swear it's a daily battle trying to get through to em.
I was telling a truck driver on Monday a few things and the look he was giving me made my blood boil, his come back was that everyone only here's the bad news and never the good, so I told him that this financial problem was deliberately orchestrate and that where going into the biggest depression the world has ever seen, his response was that everything will be back to normal in two years, I snapped back saying in two years we'll all be slaves.
I was so angry that I had to shut my mouth and remind myself that it's not his fault.
Where so isolated over here, and the crap they feed everyone through the media is just down right sickening, I try and try to get through to as many people as I can, I even went out and brought a heap of USB flash drives and started handing them out only to find out very few of them had bothered to have a look, when there's fishing and drinking to be done, everything else takes a back seat, and that's the mentality of Australia, I feel ashamed of what we've become, this use to be the lucky country, now where slipping back to becoming convicts again.
My biggest problem is that I know more about whats going on in the US & UK then I do in my own back yard, I just don't know where to look, we don't have sites like ATS or someone belting it out on a bull horn, instead we get idiots on the radio telling every one to invest, as far as TV go's, I stopped watching it about 12 mounts ago cause I couldn't stand the lies anymore.

At least use guy's can see it coming.

The saddest thing for me is that I know deep down that ATS is on that list, although on a higher note I have a feeling I am now on the big list and that suits me just fine:

Its the same here in the states, sports and tv is all anyone cares about, I never see any of my neighbors watch the stars or the sunsets. ...
I get the same response when I try to tell friends,family and folks .....it will be ok soon , nothing to worry about, there is no aliens, the economy will pick back up, bla bla ...its like talking to a wall ......its really sad. I agree with your post , espically being in a group of such amazing people ....

Cannot makes heads or tails from this post, people are questioning the reason's why ?.

Its a clean cut deal, they f@cked up and they were caught. Dig deeper and you too will see the reason behind all this.


Just for the record, when the full might of both organizations are mobilized there is nothing that can stand in there way. You only need to look into history to see the results. Comparing a site, too over throwing an elected governing body is a mere sneeze.

That is the exact thought I had when I started reading this article. Great minds......

I want to see what and how was uploaded to the site and where it came from.

I totally agree with everything you said.

Jim Ball from 2UE and also David Oldfield from 2GB who are overnight radio hosts have plenty to say about what's going on.
Unfortunately it's the skeleton shift of midnight to dawn where it's very hard to get the message out to the prime time masses.
But check them out if you can, you won't feel so alone in your thoughts.

I think once they start banning sites that are outside of their manifesto of child porn, they are going to have a lot of trouble on their hands.
