FDA Declares Form of Vitamin B6 a Drug

Not exactly true...
These substances are found in nature, but the pharm. (petro. indst) then synthesize the stuff there by enabling them to patent it as a drug.
Only a few things can't be synthesized because of the complexity of molecular structure, such as digitalis, a very strong heart drug, that comes from the Foxglove, a flowering houseplant.
Although, they have been starting to patent hybrid plants for a while now.
