The musical itself is the brainchild of Marc Shaiman, the composer of the film and stage musical “Hairspray,” as well as some of the filthier songs in “South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut.”

Marc Shaiman on ‘Prop 8 — The Musical’ (Video on site)

I seen this video on television and thought it was pretty funny. Took me a little while to find it, but while looking I seen a lot of comments and articles with people saying "too little too late", "video too late to change the vote." I don't really see this video as something that could of changed or swayed the vote. It seems to just be a funny and satirical look at the whole prop 8 battle between the two groups.
