Somali pirates are still in control of a supertanker hijacked with two Britons on board, the US Navy has said.

The Saudi-owned television station Al Arabiya earlier said the Sirius Star had been freed, but the US Navy and Saudi Aramco, which owns the ship, both said they had no knowledge of any release

This one slipped in quietly - i thought there was a `war fleet` protecting the ships? well this is a super tanker - carrying 2 MILLION barrels of oil - headed to the USA.

and the pirates have boarded and seized it.

whilst the war in iraq maybe be questionable - bombing this lot back to the stone age would actually do some good and make the world a safer place.

I don't know if it's just quiet on this in the USA, but in the UK this is major news, they've been covering this in depth.

They are talking about a town in somalia that is basically a pirate town, where a lot of this is orchestrated from, pretty interesting stuff, and people are calling on NATO to attack.

More harsh action needs to be taken to deter these so called pirates,IE blow the the little attack boats and the mother ship out of the water, if they bring in others do the same to them , dont worry about how many get killed as they dont, this would soon stop them.
