I see his past associations as either demonstrating complete stupidity or bordering treason. His voting record serves as a scary probability for his future decisions. And while not directly socialism, his described vision of America is a big step towards that.

A) So because your on a board with a Man who was convicted and served his time for felonies YEARS ago that's treason.
B) Or was it his freedom of religion, was that treason.
As for personally knowing (unlike McCain) that the money was going to Rashid and his group, as well as a direct relationship, even if only professional, does IMO border on treason.
C) no wait wait wait wait I got it, it's because he gave that one Rashid guy $50k... wait didn't McCain give him $480k when he was in charge of some republican thing.
The concept of requiring service, the concept of imposing even higher taxes on success in order to specifically reward stagnation and laziness, and government control of the ideas expressed via radio/television etc, these are socialistic principles that Obama has championed. These are what he would like to see in place.
Socialism? When has Obama suggested ...
Socialism refers to a broad set of economic theories of social organization advocating state or collective ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods, and the creation of an egalitarian society.
Whatever his past, Ayers is now a respected member of the Chicago intelligentsia, and still a member of the Woods Fund Board. The president of the Woods Fund, Deborah Harrington, said he had been selected for the board because of his solid academic credentials and "passion for social justice."
"This whole connection is a stretch," Harrington told me. "Barack was very well known in Chicago, and a highly respected legislator. It would be difficult to find people round here who never volunteered or contributed money to one of his campaigns."
