Over the weekend, the LA Times caught Amazon.com listing a Halloween mask of Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) as a “terrorist costume.” Though the listing has since been deleted from the “terrorist” page, Top of The Ticket caught the image:

Looks like the Corpomedia kool-aid brigade has done its job quite well at spreading the propaganda.

One could say this was an honest mistake (if one were completely gullible), but from the sounds of things, they kept this up under that heading for quite a while, and even after people wrote in complaining.

It's pretty disgusting how loosely the whole "terrorist" mantra is thrown around nowadays.

WE are all on "terrorist watch-lists", and anyone protesting the oppressional fascism and socialism for the Elite rulers automatically gets that label as well.

But to have a POTUS candidate be openly labled such by politicians and certain media factions, and now THIS...Beyond pathetic.

Actually this isnt Amazons fault. People are allowed to use the keywords and tags that they want. Amazon itself doesnt sell a lot of the products on the site it is outside vendors. People add many products on their site daily it is no surprise that no one caught it. I have to say this is a non story on this one as far as Amazon. The person who put it on on the other hand....sigh.

Which politicians and media factions have labeled Obama as a terrorist? Name them.

The label in this Amazon ad was provided by a customer. Now, the last time I checked, we still have the right of Freedom of Expression. What he says may disturb you, but that's too bad. He has every right to say it.

How would this thread proceed if the mask in question was a "McCain or Palin Racist mask". I have seen a lot of that term thrown around the ATS threads and media as well. Just curious.

Only last week I was (semi) joking about as to why you couldn't buy 'socialist' Halloween masks in America considering how 'socialism' is such a bogeyman there.

I remember that post. I almost replied stating that I had already purchased my Obama mask. You should have called it a "terrorist" costume.

How are americans not pissed off at their media outlets for wasting time on such stories?

All these "Palin is a christian extremist" and "Obama is being race baited" stories are such a drag. This had the possibility of being the most interesting election ever, but the damn politicians and media dragged it into a mud slinging fest yet again; even though the youth of America were ready and willing to have an honest, open debate followed by a clean election.

These damn baby boomers need to be kicked straight out of power not only from washington, but more importantly also from the media.
