A Qantas passenger airliner en route from Hong Kong to Melbourne in Australia was forced to land in Manila, the Philippines capital, on Friday after a hole appeared in the fuselage of the Boeing 747-400 and the cabin decompressed.

Some news reports claim that corrosion was linked to it. While it wouldn't surprise me if this is true; until an official report or statement comes out I'm taking anything the media tells us with a very LARGE grain of salt.

Today they are saying it could be an oxygen tank but that is just guessing on their part.

Seems especially odd that that an accident like that should happen to an airline with such a good safety record.
