Woman who claimed detox diet caused brain damage wins £800,000

Dawn Page, 52, a mother of two, claimed she was told to drink an extra four pints of water each day, and reduce her salt intake, after consulting the therapist, Barbara Nash, about losing weight.

Her lawyers said she suffered uncontrolled vomiting within days of being placed on "The Amazing Hydration Diet", but was assured her sickness was simply "part of the detoxification process".

She claimed she was later told to increase the amount of water she drank to six pints per day.

Easy money eh! When are people going to take responsibility for their own stupid decisions instead of stupid people suing people because they were too stupid to ignore their advice.
For goodness sake, the woman started vomiting and felt ill and then DRANK MORE WATER ON THE SAME ADVICE. That women does not deserve the money. What a scam.

The common health advice is drink eight glasses of water a day, so what was so different about what she was told? What kind of idiot carries on doing something that is causing them to vomit and have convulsions?

Like the woman who drank five bottles of cola a day for several years and then sued the company who made it for causing her health problems. WTF.
