Hello All,

I recently received an email from a colleague which contained a pdf scan of a typed personal account of the battle at Iwo Jima, as recounted by PFC Fred Schribert USMC, who recently passed. The account was given as part of a collection of accounts gathered by Lynn Kessler for the book Never in Doubt: Remembering Iwo Jima, and was found after Mr. Schribert's loved ones found it while going through his belongings.
The account is a riveting read, with an inside look at life on the island during the battle. If you're into firsthand WWII remembrances, then don't miss this!

Hey, this is great! Thanks for uploading that. I was in the Corps, and Parris Island was literally another world when you were a fresh faced 18 year old.

Anyway, thanks for sharing, still have 10 pages to go... Jason

This is very interesting. Thanks so much for sharing this. I love WWII history, especially the Pacific theatre.

Flags of Our Fathers was a great book...and movie.
