Only going off personal experience! I agree there are 40 y/o's (and probably much older) who are great with PC's but I find 40 is about the start of the age bracket for people that can't use PC's. Just in my own life anyway.

I beg to differ there pal, any geek going to High School in the 1980's knew modem command strings, ftp, unix, Dos, Quick Basic, fluency in Assembly/machine languase of 6502, Z80 and 8080 processors, usenet, postscript, VMS, MVS, Unix, Cobol, Fortran, Basic, Pascal, Xwindows, Motif, Vnews, Emacs, Vm, and 'C' was the cutting edge.

All these youngsters know these days is their Play Stations, Wii, and running kiddie scripts on thier GUI operating systems and point and click browsers.

Devino, are you using AVG antispyware tools?

No I have the free version of AVG anti-virus and free PC tool anti-virus. I DL'ed PC because AVG never does anything but update itself and all my scans come up clean, now I have two anti-virus programs that don't catch anything but they look busy. Webroot catches everything. I defrag once in a while and run disk cleanup and my computer runs fine.

Suggest also Hijackthis.
After running it, you can post the log to the forum and more knowledgeable people can help you see what to remove.

I had a terrible time with a Trojan before SpySweeper. All the anti-virus software programs I tried failed to stop this cridder. Hijackthis did the trick and I was so happy, but it will allow you to delete your OS to death so it is a bit dangerous. A good idea to get help from their forum.

Hi Woodwytch,

Im not sure if im allowed to post this but if you use www.scandoo.com... instead of google (it pulls google through its servers) it will check in real time if there is any malware on the site.

Its pretty good.

You probably have spyware on your computer. But beside that, Yes EVERYTHING you do can be seen by a third party.

Whats wrong with porn? America and other societies try to suppress sexuality. No wonder the U.S. is the leader in sexual crimes. Society is so messed up these days.

The only true privacy you have, is the thoughts inside your head. You don't even have privacy while watching TV. They are constantly shoving advertising in your head everywhere and they will continue to advance their trickery until, one day you all have computer chips in your arm. Everything you do will be recorded and advertisements will be directed to your every desire. Capitalism needs restrictions...Viva la Revolucion!

My best advice would be to get Linux. I haven't had a problem since I switched and I never had antivirus on this OS. I think someone told me that your activities cannot be traced as well as it does with Windows.. I'm not sure how true that is, but the virus problem is gone.

Yes until you start surfing again. It accumulates until it hits a set max or you manually delete it.

Hope this helps.
