Actors claimed as Australians - but are not!

I find it interesting that a few actors are claimed as Australians, only to find out they weren't born Down Under. Of course - some grew up in Australia, so I've posted some that I know...

Nicole Kidman: Born in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Sam Neil: Many claim he's Australian - but later found he's actually from Australias' neighbour - New Zealand. Another spin off, he was actually born in Northern Ireland.

Mel Gibson: Born in New York, USA.

Russell Crowe: Born Wellington, New Zealand.

Hugo Weaving: Born in Nigeria.

Naomi Watts: Born in England.

Isla Fisher: Born in Muscat, Oman.

Colin Friels: Born in Kilwinning, Scotland

Does anyone know of any others?

Yeah, that's something I've never understood.
Why would anyone want to claim to be from somewhere they are not from? :shk:

Why would anyone want to represent a country at sport they aren't from either? :shk: (and England has probably benefitted from this more than most!)
