was reading the Sun (we always have a copy in the staff room)

would it be effective?

Public humiliation of people that Break into homes

for worst Crimes.
Murder and Rape

Public flogging for Rape and Then Hang them if its murder aswell.

Now US style

There is a prison in Texas that chains prisners up, no Playstations, TVs and so on. they live in rubbish conditions and have to do public service tasks, clean roads and so on chained to the feet,

if the prison is overcrowded they are kept in old army tents.

Now serbia
Even worse then the US one.
No toilets just a hole in the ground
no heat they have to cut their own wood to heat them selves.

and ect

should the UK adapt some of these laws here?
make life worse for the scum of society?
since right now they get treated is a waste, Good food, Entertainment and so on

i was reading on the news even the home secutary would be scared walking down london at night on her own.

Absobloodlylutly...

Hang them all: murderers, rapists, pedos, corrupt government officials and drink drivers.

Before football games and at half time do a few more. On a Saturday night when the bonus ball drops, see the number and hang that many. Cracking entertainment, and think of all the cash that could be used for all sorts of things to make a once great country great once again.

If someone has thieving gypsy fingers then chop them off, that'll learn them.

Criminal damage: let the person who's property they damaged give them a good seeing to with the cat-o'-nine-tails.

People who drive while banned: chop off their arms. Hold on then they become a burden on the state... Hang them as well!

The population is getting far too big for this planet, time to sort the wheat from the chaff. Drain the gene pool a little, so that only the deeper end remains.

Your probably thinking of Joe Arapio and the Maricopa County, Arizona Sheriff's Department.

On top of that he also makes them wear pink underwear and eat rotten ham sandwiches. His whole rationale is that if you dont like it then dont break the law in Maricopa County ... his approach is obviously popular as he has been reelected over and over several times now.

I wish every sheriff was like him, unfortunately many of them are pansy men who are in it for political gains rather then public service and law enforcement. The actual deputies who do the actual work are certified cops (obviously) but the sheriff and many of the administrative people are more often then not politicians who know next to nothing about police work or running jails.

you need to educate yourself on arapio before you praise him. He is a sick man and one of the most corrupt elected officals in the country.

he is directly responsible for many deaths in his prison system. a nice example is the mentally retarted man who was arrested for trespassing. He was strapped to the "interagation chair" beaten and broke his neck while struggling.

or how about the pregnant woman arrested for having a dime bag. She was beaten by prisoners while waitng araignment. She begged to see a doctor was laughed at and dragged into court bleeding. Almost died and lost her baby.

How about when he went to the Phoenix New Times office demanding every single email from anyone who contacted the paper in the last year because the paper is critical of him. He fabricated a assasination plot against himself after the paper printed his address while investigating a shady land deal.

Hes a horrible man. Educate yourself

Whilst I agree that prisoners in UK at least are treated too well, I for one wouldn't like to see a return to capital punishment and flogging etc. Prisons should be made tougher, i.e no TVs and rubbish food, but rates of crime are dropping without the need to resort to old-fashioned methods of humiliation, and the problem with these punishments is...

What if someone is wrongly convicted?

The balance is all wrong. Once someone is convicted, why do we continue to give them any rights?

Criminals has decided to live outside what the majority of us deem to the acceptable, and with the economical squeeze, this is the perfect opportuntity to us to reduce the costs of keeping people in prison. Prisoners get more money for food a day that we give our forces fighting abroad. Does anyone think this is odd?

And our justice secretary seems to think the balance is wrong.
