Possible Purchase

I was offered this computer the other day for 200.00..

Mac ?? Something with OS 9.1

7 Gig HDD I think

CD Drive

Comes with a key board and mouse and supposedly internet ready...



The guy is a computer repair person and says it works..

Anyone know if it is worth it?

I just have never had a MAC and wanted one just to play with...

$200 If that be the case, then we lost a boatload on liquidating the GASD inventory. wow. We were doing these and similar in quantity for less than $60, with keyboards and mice.

If you want to "play around" with a Mac, get to know the OS and such... lemme know, Semp. We're close enough that the shipping wouldn't be a big deal, and I'm sure a G3-4 unit would more than suit your needs/desires. if nothing else, a helluva lot cheaper than $200

I just bought a sweet laptop...

I have been working on a Sharp and it is a good machine, but I just bought an Acer Aspire 5610Z

Very cheap in construction, but LOADED... Duo Core, 120G, 2 Gig RAM

And it has Vista Home Premium..

Hate the Vista, but figure I might as well get used to it...

Picked it up 6 months old for 400.00

I live in SA and i tell you, we don't get deals like that!! we would have to shell out some serious money to get anything half descent and then some. If it were 6 months old we would almost pay the new price.

Hell all i wanted once was some new lace pickups for my strat and saw them on ebay at a great price, then ebay closed my account cos they couldn't verify who i was cos i couldn't send them a utility bill HUH i live in SA.

Anyways, wish we could get great deals!!
