putin's references about american imperialism, page 1

i must admit, nWo is one conspiracy theory that i am not that read-up on.

but, as a close follower of russia, i would just like to list a few remarks that putin has made recently that hint of an nWo-type order that is threatening russia and russia is trying to thwart.

is it the u.s.? muslim fundamentalists? or a global association of elites, possibly the nWo?

The unipolar world that had been proposed after the Cold War did not take place either.

I consider that the unipolar model is not only unacceptable but also impossible in today’s world. And this is not only because if there was individual leadership in today’s – and precisely in today’s – world, then the military, political and economic resources would not suffice. What is even more important is that the model itself is flawed because at its basis there is and can be no moral foundations for modern civilisation.

Along with this, what is happening in today’s world – and we just started to discuss this – is a tentative to introduce precisely this concept into international affairs, the concept of a unipolar world.

It is all the more important that we remember this today, because these threats are not becoming fewer but are only transforming and changing their appearance. These new threats, just as under the Third Reich, show the same contempt for human life and the same aspiration to establish an exclusive dictate over the world.

And at a press conference with greek president karolos papoulias today (5/31/07)

"The world has changed, and an attempt has been made to make it unipolar; some participants in international contacts developed a wish to dictate their will to one and all, without adapting their actions to norms of international contacts and law," the head of the Russian state told a news conference.

"In our opinion, it is nothing but dictate and imperialism; it should be said straightforwardly; a spade should be called a spade," Putin underscored.
