Sudan - The seven women pooled money to rent a donkey and cart, then ventured out of the refugee camp to gather firewood, hoping to sell it for cash to feed their families. Instead, they say, in a wooded area just a few hours walk away, they were gang-raped, beaten and robbed.

I had heard of rape happening at the hads of the janjaweed, before, but now we can add gang rape, it addation to the attemped genecide, mutalitation and any of the other horrors that have been happenind in Darfur. What kind of people gang rape and beaten hours away from any one who could help? What kind of government would let this happen along with killings tword geecide?
