I think US bullies are the least that Iraqis are worried about when confronted by insurgent murderers.

Who cares about being verbally abused or pushed around when people are being blown up in markets, or murdered for honor "honor killings of women".

Oh wait not even ten percent the article says almost 1 out of ten. If thats the worst they can report then we're doing alright.

No, I generally use what is reported across the new networks including online sources.

CNN openly admitted it kept Saddam's attrocities quite so they could keep a branch open in iraq.

There seems to be a rising problem with the de-humanising of the Iraqi population. Many soldiers are suffering from quite acute problems and should not be in combat in my opinion. A high level of mental health issues will result in further mistreatment of civilians and should lead to accusations of war crimes if the situation is not nipped in the bud.

Thanks for that, it is good to see someone take an interest in the subject discussed in a thread rather than lame "shoot the messenger" approach taken by some paranoid americans who seem to imagine discussing the facts of a news story=hating america. Are they overly-sensitive or just hysterical flag-wavers who will turn a blind eye to the truth if they don't like the truth. Does the truth hurt them so much.

I find this very worrying, the islamic nations are becoming increasingly identified along racial grounds. Difference instead of commonality is being emphasised and all civilians in these countries are being tarred with the fundementalist/terrorist brush. There is a certain fervour in the US military and in the US media in general that is alarming. It is permeating the UK troops to an extent, but the UK has a stronger discipline structure, there isn't the maverick mentality. Additionally the US suffers from its own religious funamentalism which hardly helps matters!

Dehumanising certain demographics historically leads only to bad things happening. Unfortunately too many people would rather believe that all Iraqis/Iranians/Afghanistans etc are backward West-haters than face the fact that innocent men, women and children are suffering for wars based on profit.
