Whoaaa.. slow down maestro, there's a NEW Mexico?! You don't understand, the magnitude of the event does not equate to the depth and width of a conspiracy.

Those in the deepest parts of being "in the know" would simply believe this is the right thing to do in order to "evolve" our country while some put a little coin in their pocket as well. But there doesn't necessarily have to be an all-encompassing conspiracy network for something like this to be done if you look at it from a certain angle. It's all about people doing their "jobs", there was most likely no hired help-type people if you get what I'm saying.

I know that I am not going to believe anybody. Do I know what "real story" was; yes. Do I know what the other story was; yes. At this point I really don't even care. There are other things more important at the moment.

I don't believe that 9/11 was an inside job. Yeah, I have watched your movies. I have read your stories. 90% of the time I think people are really pushing things. Really, what I think the problem is that people don't know what they are talking about. They watch some cool video, with cool music, and a few questions. Then they bring those same questions here are use some video as a sorce. They are asking some crazy question like, " do those sound like building floors hitting each other or explosions"? Me, im just sitting here thinking that vary well could be the floors crashing down on each other. And some of these people, some of them, they sound like they have done reasearch on buildings just like the WTC crashing down.

Deny ignorance? Please, just pretend like some of the things you read here is not just going with the flow. I could make some off the wall thread here, throw in a few facts and make the rest up. People would believe what I was saying. Not now because anybody reading this would know but there would be enough.

That, I think, is the single most trenchant question ever asked about the entire alleged 9/11 conspiracies. Five plus years after the fact, what are you doing about your beliefs aside from posting on ATS?

My friends and I don't talk about 911 that much. We talk more about how the former minister of privacy was smeared in the media after he publicly denounced the reforms that eliminated protections for the individual against intrusion from far vaster powers.

Or about how the same guy who ran Ollie North's campaign ran Mike Harris's American style campaign, that blamed all of the provincial debt on the poor. About how he dismantled a program designed to subsidy single parents, and when one of his ministers was asked - what will those women do? - he answered, 'they can go work the strip with the other pigs.' Or about how the conservatives redrew the electoral map so that area's traditionally voting conservative are now even more overrepresented. About how Harris's common sense revolution in which he said he'd eliminate the deficit - drove the deficit way up through corruption and mismanagement. Which is typical of conservative politics, looking for justification to dismantle all of the social safety net, altogether, except of course, corporate welfare. How he ordered the killing at a native protest and just before the policeman could testify at the inquiry, he was killed in an auto accident. About how he sold off crown assets making many of his ministers fabulously wealthy and many citizens homeless because they could no longer afford heating.

We talk about the efficiency of the propaganda in that campaign and how strange it is that in spite of the corruption and raising of the deficit evinced by Harris - the punitive programs he initiated linger. We talk about how Canada's water will no longer be a resource we own, once the treatment plants governments refuse to properly upgrade are sold off to private industry for that purpose. We talk about how strange it is, that a former CIA operative in Afghanistan can disappear off the face of the map after allegedly orchestrating an attack that no fighter pilots were launched to intervene.

Then we pack up the canoe and make sure all the supplies are in good order.

I guess the point of this thread is that people are doing something about it... The first step is to educate... The masses will do the rest.

Someone needs to fund a poll that has very vanilla questions regarding 9/11... nothing leading:

How many buildings collapsed? (curiosity)
Do you believe there is more to the story than the government is telling us?
Do you believe there may be a coverup?
Do you believe further investigation is needed?...

things like that.

It needs to be a HUGE sample set and the questions must be well thought out.

My friends truly don't understand anything that has to do with 9-11. Nor would they every look into it, watch a movie, or read any other alternative explanation. Since I have started to ask questions and show dissent for the government, they have basically written me as some wack job that automatically hates my country. It is a truly sad situation as there is not that many people that I could openly talk about these theories with, as it is great to be here on this board and openly express myself. Basically, if it is not reported by the MSM, than there is no way it could be true. I don't even think they know the extent of the propganda machine that the MSM truly is.

FYI, most of my friends have never gone to college, let alone even traveled outside the US.

I have a Masters Degree, and have traveled extensively throughout the world. I would rather be a true a patriot for my country than to be a blind nationalist any day of the week.

Continue to ask questions, and attempt to open people's minds up to alternative explanations. Question EVERYTHING!!!!

There are tons of structural engineers that know the official story is bunk. A number of them have questioned NIST's reluctance to release data on their computer models or provide an accurate computer simulation to the public demonstrating their theory. What are they hiding if they have nothing to hide?

Structural engineers need LICENSES in order to practice. In order to get and keep these licenses requires good standing with federal, state, and local officials. Publicly questioning 9/11 with cold hard science gets their licenses revoked.

The only structs i have heard of that publicly support the official story usually have some conflict of interest. For instance, the guys building the freedom tower 'consulted' with NIST. Theres no way hundreds of millions of dollars in business is going to make them play along. No, never.

I would have to imagine that if someone actually HAD cold hard science, and got theyre liscenses revoked, we'd hear about it.

Look up how news networks operate. For Fox News in particular, not only are the stories handed to the anchors, but even the way in which they're to present the story is handed down from the corporate big-wigs. There's a documentary called "OutFoxed" that talks about that sort of thing.

Major media would only be in a hurry to tell you about something if their owner corporations were also in a hurry to tell you about something.

It wasn't on Fox News. PrisonPlanet might mention it somewhere as a side-note in their articles, but even if they did, so what? You would just hand-wave it away as PrisonPlanet, conspiracy nutballs, unreliable, etc., etc.

To my knowledge Kevin Barret had a masters in English and a Ph'D in African Linguistics.

Not necessarily a highly trained structural engineer.

For that matter, I'm not sure Kevin Barret actually worked at Underwriters Laboratories at all. Pretty positive about that. Might want to check your facts.
