yeah but its a gas giant like our jupiter which also contains trace water vapour in its atmosphere.

still good theyve proved they can extract the composition of distant planets atmospheres.

looking good for getting direct images of exoplanets www.jpl.nasa.gov... soon we will find another planet like earth

To me what I think is interesting is they used the words....... "EXTRATERRESTRIAL LIFE"

There seems to be more sightings and more admittance lately don't you think when it comes to ufo's and et's.

big hmmmmmmmmmmmmm in my book.

hehe observe50 , nasa has been looking for extra terrestrial life for nearly 50 years theres a whole science dedicated to it called astrobiology.

theyre not talking about aliens visting earth I dont know how you make that connection.

prediction : the astronomers on earth will prove ET life exists before the ufo community does. Probably in the next 10 years.

I guess it's crucial. It does seem to make certain biological processes a bit more possible. But that might be our own predjudice in the matter. Maybe we just don't have any examples of life made with something besides water to see how it could be done.

And water certainly isn't a guarantee of life. Throw a bunch of sterile chemicals into a bucket of water and you end up with muddy water. Life doesn't spring from it spontaneously, as far as anyone's been able to prove so far. Blast it with UV and sparks and you might get some organic chemicals to form, amino acids and such, but nobody's gotten that sticky mud to spring to life yet, either.

For our dear readers, I give you the link our OP failed to provide :
Not so Sensational

Seems they EXPECT to find water VAPOR in atmospheres.

observe50, please don't sensationalize findings that were expected.

Thanks,
Lex
