A man who led police on a foot chase in downtown Seattle this morning was taken to Harborview Medical Center after jumping 40 feet from construction scaffolding near Pike Place Market, police said.

Medics were called and found a man in his 30s lying on a concrete slab, said Capt. Reba Gonzales of the Seattle Fire Department. The man fractured both ankles, was complaining of back pain and may have suffered internal injuries, she said.

What an idiot!! He had a 25 foot lead on the nearest cop. And if he has learned anyhthing from any movie with a chase scene ever made; don't go up. Where the heck are you gonna go when you get to the top?

Now he gets free medical attention. And the worst part is, he will probably turn around and sue the construction company for not having propr security at the site. Weak.

And in Seattle he just might win.

Hopefully the cops stick him with the hospital bill since he wasn't in custody at the time of injury.
