7 Churches Baffled at 3 Strangers Who Disrupted Sermons

It appears that 7 churches in NC (I believe) had 3 men disrupt their sermons by coming onto the alter and speaking in Hebrew and English. The story doesn't give alot of information but it sounded very bizarre to me and I was wondering if someone from there had any more info or have heard of this story in the papers.

www.standeyo.com...

They say people in some of the churches' congregations are still trying to figure out how to describe what happened.

Police investigators said Thursday that they were trying to learn the identities of three men who entered seven churches in the Kannapolis area Sunday and interrupted services. At least four clergymen said the men spoke in Hebrew and English, police said.

The story just IMO abruptly ends without explanation. It might simply be kooks but who generally knows the Hebrew language well enough to fluently speak it?

7 churches... hmmm... why is 7 such a popular number in the Tora and the Bible??

Isn't this reminiscent of the 2 witnesses that are supposed to appear in the Bible?

Forgive me, but I am a recovering catholic and i can't remember the exact quotation.

Two of them may be the two witnesses of the bible. We need to watch carefully. Folks, we are living in some interesting times in deed.
It's going to be alright...

I'm intrigued by this.

Here's a couple more articles...some repeat info, some new. If you only have time for one, read the Salisbury Post:

Here's an article written in the Charlotte Observer with a list of the churches the men visited.

Churches Affected

Perhaps someone could write or email them to find out more?

As someone commented on the articl in the second paper: Perhaps its the 7 churches and 3 angels thing

Maybe they are the two end times witnesses with an escort? :-)

There are seven churches involved and three persons. I have to wonder about the seven churches and the three angles in Revelations and if it was this message they were trying to relate to.

Revelation 14:6-12

Then I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth—to every nation, tribe, language and people. He said in a loud voice, "Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water."

A second angel followed and said, "Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great, which made all the nations drink the maddening wine of her adulteries."

A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: "If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, he, too, will drink of the wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. He will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name." This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey God's commandments and remain faithful to Jesus.

Just a thought

If anyone's interested, here are some passages referring to the "two witnesses" from the Bible...

Revelation 11:3-14
"...And I will give power to my 2 witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth. These are the 2 lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth"

Zechariah 4:12-14
"Again I asked him, 'What are these 2 olive branches beside the 2 gold pipes that pour golden oil?'
"....so he said, 'These are the 2 who are annointed to to serve the Lord of the earth..."

Wonderful! The Salisbury Post gave a little more info on the events.
It's amazing to me that there wasn't a panic stir with all the goings on and threats being made against Americans and that we are going to suffer and such and then what appears to be men of Middle Eastern decent come into these establishments and say Peace over and over. It's just strange!

These are for the most part Baptist churches. Why would these men visit Baptist churches?

Perhaps they were scouting out the places.

I'm not saying I believe it, but I'm sure enjoying being FASCINATED by this story, so...

First, the prophecies:

Essedarius, at least to me, what you proposed is not as far-fetched as it may seem. When one looks at biblical prophecy, or any other prophecy, one has to view it in the context that the prophet would have viewed it.

I think its good to spread the word PEACE.

One time there was some guy that came into our church, he didn't say anything, he just stood on the pulpit and stared into the audience. The preacher just kept on preaching.

Turns out he was just high out of his mind.

I don't think that is applicable to this discussion, but, interesting story anyway.

It is a shame that we couldn't link this with another story. Then we could explore the why's.
But in one article it stated that not all of the churches reported these men because no one felt threatened in any way which begs the question of how many more churches may have been visited in perhaps other states.

Unless you felt threatened why would you report it to the police? I am going to keep my eye out on this and see if I can find any corelating stories.

Thanks all and especially Esse for an interesting spin on it.
