According to Tarachand, a prominent historian, the greatest influence of Islam on Indian history was the belief in the Unity of God. Bhakti Movement was the product of such an influence. Bhakti movement was propounded by Chaitanya, Namadeva, Tukaram, Jayadeva. The movement major achievement was its abolition of idol worship.

Bhagat Kabir
(1398-1518 AD)
"From the One Light, the entire universe welled up. So who is good, and who is bad?"

Though the time before Sikhism, Bhagat Kabir sang the hyms of God to all, low and tall, muslim and Hindu.
This one him great love from those who were opressed during these times in India, and perpetuated into the Bakti Movement.
