Chelsea: Mourinho - No show for Munich match

Jose Mourinho will not be at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night when Chelsea meet Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals. The cracks in the Chelsea manager's relationship with the club hierarchy were confirmed today by his assistant Baltemar Brito who also revealed the banned coach will watch the first leg "away from the stadium".

Brito revealed Mourinho, given a two-game touchline by UEFA for bringing the game into disrepute for controversial comments he made during and after the previous Champions League clash with Barcelona, will watch the game in a "private place" on television and there will be no contact with the bench via mobile phone or other forms of communication.

Did he cheat though? It seems like something was going on with the bench and one of them had an earpiece. Mourinho said he wasn't going to be anywhere near the ground and he was in the Chelsea village, not far from the pitch at all. There is nothing wrong with him being there but it looks like the authorities are looking into it.
