Shaun Bartlett knows his Charlton future is up in the air - but he's not overly concerned.
The South African striker is in the final year of his contract and new talks have yet to be started.
Bartlett 31, said: "The contract situation at Charlton is not playing on my mind at all to be honest.
"If I got a new deal I'd be happy to stay here because it's a good club and I've enjoyed my time here. But it's up to the club, isn't it?
"They waited until the last-minute last season before they offered me a one-year deal and they'll probably do the same again. But if it doesn't happen
I'll move on."
And Bartlett revealed he'd consider dropping a level to pursue his English career.
"I've played all over the world," said Bartlett. "But I'd like to stay in England for another two years at least. I feel I can still perform in the
Premiership but I would consider dropping a division here.
"I am settled in this country and it has always been my dream to play here."
