Malaga are pondering a move for former Arsenal star Sylvain Wiltord.

The France international has still to find a new club after leaving Highbury at the end of last season.

Wiltord has been linked to the likes of Juventus, Werder Bremen and Liverpool but has failed to finalise a transfer.

He is now training with French outfit Rennes but Malaga are reported to be ready to move for him after missing out on a host of strikers this summer.

The Primera outfit have failed to land El Hadji Diouf, Salva and Rodolfo Bodipo to name just a few, and are desperate to find a recognised goalscorer ahead of the new season.

Barcelona are the latest club to have joined the chase for free agent Sylvain Wiltord.

Wiltord has yet to find new employers since he opted to leave Arsenal when his contract expired earlier in the summer.

The French international, who is currently training at Rennes, has been linked with a plethora of clubs including Lyon, Juventus, Tottenham, Werder Bremen and Liverpool.

he has ended up at lyon

Former Arsenal striker Sylvain Wiltord has joined French champions Lyon.

The 30-year-old marksman has been without a club since leaving Highbury at the start of the summer when he was released.

After four-years in North London Wiltord returned to France and trained with Rennes as he continued to look for a new club.
