Apparently, a man dropped off a package between the Air Algeria and Lufthansa counters at a Heathrow terminal and ran away, causing authorities to evacuate the terminal for about four hours this afternoon. One man is now in custody. Officials won't discuss what was in the package.
About 2,000 people were ordered out of Terminal Two, which houses many European carriers, around 1 p.m., police said.

The package was found near the Air Algeria and Lufthansa desks, according to airport staff members, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they did not have authorization to speak with the media.

Nerves are certainly on edge at Heathrow these days.

I wonder what was in the package?

Updates to follow.
