And the abuse of course is on both sides: demagogues court the riff-raff with promises that the "rich will pay"; capital profits from the absurdity: just as airlines are only too happy to let the tax-payer train military ppilots who will then leave ASAP and join an airlline, so private medicine in the UK is only too happy to let the tax-payer fork out around a million U.S. per head to train doctors who can then be poached.
The great unwashed see cradle-to-grave housing, food, health and education all on the back of the working tax-payer whom these people probably despise anyway..
In Britain now, essentyially only two sorts of people can afford large families: the very rich and the great unwashed.
If ever there were the seeds of future civil strife -it is this.
