sorry guys but i just dunno what it is

when you buy it, one (you) doesn't see avatars / signatures / others things that might make the page load slowly...

can you turn it on and off?

yes...

go to the "memberCenter" tab...

then go to the ATS store...

EDIT:

actually, its the "ATS Special Features" section in the "memberCenter" tab...

look for "Turn on low-bandwidth mode" and it costs 50 ATS points...

Because ATS uses BBcode. I think SO's filtered out most HTML tags except for a basic few. Script kiddies are everywhere.

As for buttons not working, they seem to work fine for me and most everyone else. Which buttons are you having problems with?

For some reason the ATS BBcode only works using lower case letters. Capitals like you have used won't activate. You should learn to use the Preview Post button and do a bit of trial and error.

Yeah, I had low-bandwidth selected for about half a year until I posed a screenshot wondering why I couldn't see the wonderful range of things everyone else was seeing, and got scolded for asking such a question.

Well, now I know!
