Clean up Java?

I've been around a few years, but have yet to hear that expression.

Ah, got ya. Shoulda figured you meant simple, lol.

I don't know if MS Virtual Machine (fake Java) has any type of control panel, but if you are using Java by Sun, you can open its control panel from your computers Control Panel, and delete the temp files. You can also set how much disk space you want it to use.

I highly recommend using this, by Sun, over Micorsucks placebo Java, lol.

Not a prollem.

- Open Java from your computers Control Panel.
- In the Java contol panel now open, click the button "Delete Files".
- A confirm box with three options (all 3 should be enabled by default, if not, enable them).
- Click ok to that.
- All done, close Java with the OK button.

No harm will be done, as they are just temporary files.

Yer smart for being cautious, then asking

I wish ALL computer users would do this.

Maybe you have a different version? Go to www.sun.com and on the right hand side of the page you can download the newest version.

In the control panel turn off automatic updates and under advanced you can disable starting the console and not display the tray icon.

Automatic updates loads an unnecessary file at startup. Just do it manually.

You are quiet welcome !

It's people like us that were once dummies too !!

Keep asking questions to learn by, and you won't feel as a dummy after a while

Did you get it installed, and understood?
