Yeah. No kidding. I drew that map.

It was based on the 1984 map that was leaked to the Las Vegas Review Journal in 1994. I updated it using 1988 satellite imagery. It is way out of date now.

There have been many changes to the base since then. Some buildings have been added and others torn down.

Why update it using such old satelite imagery? Google earth is showing the site in the early 2000's, you can tell because they are starting to build the new taxiway.

The 1988 Russian satellite images were the msot recent available to the public when I drew the maps in 1995. Google Earth didn't exist yet.
