I would agree that it was one of the worst in a while that for sure waynos. The Avro Arrow though i think is in a bit of a different boat seeing as 6 had been made or were near completion. The engines that it was actually going to use where just days away from first flight and the program actually killed almost and intire industry in Canada. Im not sure that I know everything about the A-12's cancellation but anytime i see a large number of man hours that has created something that actually fulfills a role get killed it pains me.

I remember reading somewhere that the engine design's developed for the Arrow were bought by the french and were used to power a lot of Dassult A/C.

The X-32 there could also be a scale model. I think I recall seeing one in the main test hanger out at Edwards during the fly off. Never can tell. I know there's a full size mock up of the F-35 at the Lockheed facility in Fort Worth, Tx.
