Who Makes the Best Counterterrorist Thinker?

Who makes the best counterterrorist thinker: the counterterrorist, the former counterterrorist, the terrorist, or the former terrorist? It is in my mind that certain agenices in the U.S. and other nations have to devote significant resources to recruiting former terrorists to help understand the evil of terrorism. Ivory tower theory is great but a complete picture is better.

Well Im not sure you can say for certain what makes a good counter terrorism thinker. The person in question shouldnt take part in partison politics. They should should be a part of a think tank that has the education and experiance to understand the source of terroism. Members of the team should come from differnt parts of the globe to prevent one type of thinking prevailing.

Terrorists are so unpredictable, that no-one can truly call themselves a counterterrorist. Terrorists don't use conventional tactics, weapons or methods of communication. But the ones that would have the best shot are other terrorists because they know how others operate.
