Cheyenne Mountin Complex

Apperently there are some rumors flying around the web that the Shian Mtn complex from stargate sg1 is real. not the stargate part, but the base being there. does anyone know about this?

You mean Cheyenne Mountain. Of course it's real. That's where NORAD is located. They carved into the mountain and put a massive Command and Control facility in there.

the rumors must be somehow spell it incorrectly , actually i think when the footage the SG-1 the are just shot the real place i mean the Cheyenne mt complex entrence in the show is the real one , and you can see the "Cheyenne Mnt complex" right on the show

Uh... yes. CHEYENNE MOUNTAIN is real. I live about 5 miles away from it. I can see NORAD from my house. I live RIGHT next to the base (Fort Carson), so it's really close to NORAD.

Aye you can actually make out the entrance from the highway. Its probably one of the better documented base's we have.

I'm not sure but I think its also one of the most if not the most fortified.

The main tunnel goes basically straight through the mountain. There is a slight curve to it as to throw any blast away from the blast doors to the actual base.

The blast doors are massive. The base itself is sitting on massive coil springs as to deaden any shock from a direct hit. The whole inner tunnel is lead/em sheilded. They store enough food/water/air to last for at least 2 months without opening the doors.

It's real.. Even Discovery Channel have a show from this base..

i dont know about the most i mean there is Area 51 and that is supposed to have the most and unbelieveable security there.

yeah i've been there cant tell you a whole lot im fraid
some pretty amazing stuff goes on though
its starting to be opened to tourists now that its job can be done at many other facilities and are much less to maintain
