TERRORISM: Israeli Terrorist Kills 3 In Bus Shooting

An Israeli settler wearing an IDF uniform has shot dead three people and wounded four others aboard a bus in an Arab town. Police have said that the man left his unit after refusing to partake in the planned Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza strip. "It seems like Jewish terror against Arabs," police spokesman Avi Zelba told Reuters. The man was later killed by an Arab mob.



Its usually the Israeli army that visits death upon Arabs, individuals dont have to take it upon themselves. When an individual does an act like this we can term it murder or terrorism. The fact remains that three innocent people have been shot and killed going about their buisness on a bus. Much the same way that those in London were killed on the trains and bus.

This story illustrates the fact that all sides are capable of extreme horrors and despicable acts. When we stop pointing righteous fingers and accept that all sides have done things they shouldnt have we might have a chance of ending this spiral of violence.

Israeli Arab parliament member Mohammed Barakeh, quoted by the Haaretz Web site, said: "We are witnessing attempts by extreme right-wing people, terrorists, who want to set the region ablaze and feel they have freedom of action."

Those Israelis who agree with this actions will no doubt take objection to him being termed a "terrorist" but if the shoe fits for Islamic terrorists/murders, it fits just as snug here.

I agree. I would add that its interesting what drove this man to commit this act. He was unhappy with the Gaza pullout, apparently, a huge conciliatory move being made by his own government. It seems that the line between soldier and terrorist is easily crossed.

Yes, that is terrorism, a heinous murder of innocent people.

The terrorist Eden Tzubeiri, 19, who opened fire on a bus in Shfaram (Shfaram is a mixed village: ca. 50 % Sunni Muslims as well as Druse and Christians), killing at least 4 people and wounding a dozen more, was an IDF deserter.

He moved recently from Rishon Letzion (around 15 kilometers south of Tel Aviv) to the Tapuah settlement, a hub for Kach activists. Tzubeiri was a member of the outlawed ultra-Right-wing Kahane Chai party.

Among the victims were two adolescent girls and the driver of the bus. The shooter also directed his fire outside the bus, and the casualties included pedestrians and bystanders.

Police went on high alert and sent hundreds of reinforcements to the north of the country; fearing possible riots in Arab towns in response to the murder

Here's an extremist fanatic mowing down innocent civilians, where are all the rightingers trying to use this as evidence that Judaism is inherently evil?

I'm just pointing out an obvious fact - murderous extremism is not exclusive to Islam. A fact many seem to wish to ignore.

Oh no, things might get a little bit more intersing over there in the middle east soon...

If Israel is harboring terrorists (which I've never doubted all those settlers from the US were), then we should immediately invade, bomb, and liberate that country.

For a nation that legally demands that their suffering during the Holocaust be recognised and be made an offence to denounce and then visits the same acts suffered themselves upon their neighbours can be likened to an individual who has suffered a horrendous physical/psychological/sexual abuse during their formative years who goes on to become an abuser themselves in later life...Israel needs 'national counselling' to resolve these issues....only then can we as a global-human-villiage move forward and embrace a bright new future

Prime Minister Ariel Sharon instructed Hamosad Lebituah Leumi (the National Insurance Institute) today to recognize Thursday's shooting attack in Shfaram, in which a Jewish gunman killed four Arab Israeli citizens, as a terror attack.

The law grants families of those killed in terror attack monthly allowances for the rest of their lives and those wounded in the shooting, funds allocated to terror victims.

Shfaram (not far away from Haifa) is part of the Northern Distrct of the State of Israel , the victims are Israeli citizens.
