NWO, Whats it all about

Sorry if this is covered elsewhere and if it is just point me to the thread, but of all the threads i've seen, none really explain what its all about, where it all started. I've done some searches and not come up with much, and am hoping my fellow ATSers can point me to the right thread or give me some information in this one, either is fine with me. Most people talk in the threads assuming we all know what they are talking about but to someone like me who is just discovering NWO it's all a bit confusing.
