Louis Gossett Jr., known for making history as the first Black man to win an Oscar for best supporting actor, has died.


RIP

One of the great ones.

Loved him in almost every role he played.

A great contributor to the art. I think my favorite role from him was in the movie "Enemy Mine".

Incredible performance from him and Dennis Quaid (I like Randy too, for obvious Cousin Eddie reasons lol).

87 years is a good run and I think the last major role he played was in the HBO Original Series "Boardwalk Empire" and that was a winner as well.
