This is the terrifying moment a cyclist was set upon by a knifeman in broad daylight in an unprovoked attack in a street in London.

The victim, who said he thought he was going to die, was riding his bicycle down a street in Enfield, north London, when the knifeman leapt out at him.

Lewis Livingstone forced him off his bicycle and kicked him before brandishing a large knife and stabbing him multiple times in front of horrified onlookers.

On Friday, Livingstone, 19, of Wellington Road, Enfield, was sentenced to six and a half years at Hendon Magistrates' Court.

These people should be locked up and the key flung away.

And for nothing as well by the looks of things, completely unprovoked.

Love to say this is not a near enough everyday occurrence but........

No one is born evil. Ultimately, such people are products of society. So there must be something wrong with society that it produces murderers, rapists and so on. Or it may be part of our nature and most of us can control the dark side of ourselves. What makes this story so special? One of the most terrible side effects of the internet is that we get to see all kinds of horror, things that only poison us, that do not trigger anything good in us.

He was obviously trying to rob the e-bike the delivery guy was on, must have been quite a surprise when the delivery guy ran back and whacked him with his bag and wrestled him to the ground.

This is sensationalist reporting, why can’t they just say it like it is?

I’m fairly certain psychopaths are in fact born the way they are. Most are capable of hiding it quite well, but the fact is they are incapable of feeling empathy.

Thank god for gun free zones. If only more people were carrying knives they could have stopped this heinous attack.

Or he would just have shot the fellow on the bike.

I don't think guns are the answer myself.

Good old London , once the beating heart of England now a stinking cesspool of other country's crap.

Luckily for the citizens of Denmark their government report the numbers of violent crime by Nationality their figures are revealing.

For some reason our government chooses not to do that , I wonder why ... Hmmmm.

On the subject of Chummy ....

He was also subject to a suspended sentence for a previous offence for which he will now have to serve the 18-month sentence, bringing the total to eight years' imprisonment.

8 years if he keeps his nose clean he'll be out in 4, our prisons are full and the Tories keep letting them in.

Eat the Rich.

Unfortunately, things like this happen 10 times a day in 100 major cities around the world.

I'm a decent size guy - 6"1' and 195 lbs but I never leave the house without this:

My trusty Smith & Wesson 9mm. And if that won't do the job, I throw the remote control at him.

Seriously, I put that in the picture to give people a sense of size and scale of my gun.

Fits perfectly in my hand and after having fired 1000's of rounds at the range, I am completely comfortable with it. So is my Lady, who I taught to shoot when she asked as she lives alone and I leave the gun with her when I'm traveling by air someplace for work.

Just life the piece of # off.
No parole, no good behaviour......# all.

Far too tolerant on these sort of crimes.

When you raise animals or let animals into you society do not be surprised when they crap all over everything. Born evil or learned evil it does not matter as evil is evil and a society is better to cast out or destroy all their evil ones.

People are not born evil 727Sky.

Life teaches them to be that way.

But that's no excuse for committing depraved acts of aggression on the public for seemingly no reason whatsoever.

I hope they put him in with some big bastard that knocks out his front teeth.

I can't believe such a lenient sentence.

It gets my goat that crims get a discounted sentence for pleading guilty. Automatically.

Even when they are bang to rights. Judges should have more discretion rather than being hamstrung by rigid sentencing guidelines.

I want this scumbag off our streets. For a very long time.

I disagree. Some folk are born evil. Look at Jamie Bulgers killers.

No one taught them to be that evil at their young age.

Evil is as evil does.

Crazy.

I know of a fellow who tried to attack two people who run a boxing club.

Whilst there were young kids in attendance, with a machete and a gas gun, over some daft sad argument.

He got bailed, then when found guilty(plead) and sentenced, got a tag, and a 240-hour community service order.

And they never even managed to recover the weapon.

Plus it's not like it was his first rodeo.

Hopefully, he tries to appeal, and the appeal court judges add to his sentence.

That can also happen down south as well right?

They are just getting crazier, and the sentences handed down pathetic!

I'm of the opinion that everyone is a product of society carpy2.

As to those filthy little animals, did one of them not also have a really horrendous upbringing and parents?

The other one being more of a gullible hanger-on.

No excuse whatsoever all the same.

But the same one keeps getting new names and busted for kiddie porn.

Evil is as evil does.

I thought you did not like colloquial sayings?
