I bet the native American Indians said the same-thing when the Europeans invaded America.

A lot of tribes were grateful since there was already violence and bloodshed with aggressive tribes. In some ways the settlers, not 'invaders", were a helping hand.

Unfortunately the British rule managed to cancer its way into America and has never left. I have Cherokee ancestry, what tribe are you decended from?
