Should Journalists and Reporters Be Eligible for the DEATH PENALTY due to Committing Treason?

As far as im aware, while the death penalty is still listed as a possible punishment for treason nobody has been executed for the crime in the US in 70 years.

And here in the UK, 77 years, where it has been illegal to do so since 1998 down to the European Convention on Human Rights.

The world has spun, and executing journalists and reporters for what they call reporting news and expressing an opinion is apt to go down like a lead balloon by my guess.

I imagine if they were found to be guilty of such a crime, in an actual court of law, as opposed to opinion, then a far more tangible sentence would involve imprisonment as opposed to the death sentence in this day of age.

Technically yes. But those are usually temporary to protect the sanctity of a legal proceeding. I know why you brought that up, and yes it was an overreach to do against Trump. But I can see the importance of it in theory. If you’re a juror, should you be able to go on the news while a case is ongoing?

And that can certainly be a lot different than speech. That’s something that could be argued as complicity.

I remember the Christ Church shooting a lot of people were celebrating it here. I thought it was disgusting, but I wouldn’t equate their sh***y opinions to involvement. I wouldn’t have advocated for their deaths much less any legal recourse.

A few posts on facebook does not a "traitor" make. Only the most extreme nationalists would use that term based on a few posts on facebook (which they haven't even seen nor know any details about what she actually said that was so "criminal" and 'traiterous'; one of the main reasons I'm using the term "extreme". Cause from going from a few unknown FB posts to 'she's a traitor' is a rather extreme leap of propagandistic spin).

It's not really surprising that these people exist though. The education most receive​—whether from parents or from nationalistically oriented school systems—​inculcates hatred, intolerance, and notions of superiority based on nationality, ethnic and tribal origin, or language.

Nationalism, called by the weekly magazine Asiaweek “the Last Ugly Ism,” is one of the unchanging factors that continues to provoke hatred and bloodshed. Back in 1946, British historian Arnold Toynbee wrote: “Patriotism . . . has very largely superseded Christianity as the religion of the Western World.”

Nationalism is well described by the psalmist’s expression, “the pestilence causing adversities.” (Psalm 91:3) It has been like a plague on humanity, leading to untold suffering. Nationalism with its resultant hatred of other peoples has existed for centuries. Today, nationalism continues to fan the flames of divisiveness, and human rulers have not been able to stop it.

Yes, human society is steeped in nationalism. Each nation and ethnic group is driven by the desire for self-determination. National sovereignty combined with the spirit of competition and greed has produced a volatile mix. In one case after another, when national interests conflict with global interests, national interests win out.

Many authorities recognize that nationalism and self-interest are the root of the world’s problems. For example, former United Nations Secretary-General U Thant observed: “So many of the problems that we face today are due to, or the result of, false attitudes . . . Among these is the concept of narrow nationalism​—‘my country, right or wrong.’”

Keep the following in mind when you see another rally with a bunch of people waving around the flag of their nation or the nation they are supporting in that rally that is centered around conditioning and indoctrinating people with nationalistic propaganda, or an expression/demonstration of its effects:

“Nationalism’s chief symbol of faith and central object of worship is the flag, and curious liturgical forms have been devised for ‘saluting’ the flag, for ‘dipping’ the flag, for ‘lowering’ the flag, and for ‘hoisting’ the flag. Men bare their heads when the flag passes by; and in praise of the flag poets write odes and children sing hymns.”​—What Americans Believe and How They Worship (1952), by J. Paul Williams, pages 359, 360.

Of course, that doesn't just count for Americans.

If someone has infiltrated another country in order to push propaganda, they're not a Journalist.

We need to start with CNN and NBC and ABC if we are going to arrest reporters for treason. But instead of the reporters we arrest the executives at the top. The US media essentially bragged about unseating the previous POTUS by working in tandem with global partnerships. They spread lie after lie about Donald Trump, have weaponized their platforms as podiums of anti constitutional values and have even invited violence against innocent Americans. Forget the arrests. It's time for peaceful bonfires at all legacy propaganda properties.

Yeah, it's nice to see that reef wall again.

ABC/CBS/MSNBC/CNN/NYTimes/WaPost media is abuzz today because Trump businesses received $8 million from non-US sources while he was President.

Contrast their reaction to Trump receiving $$$, against their SILENCE when it was revealed that Joe Biden the individual (no business owned) received $5 million from China.

Due to such unfair/unequal treatment, the U.S. Media is 100% justified being afraid and apprehensive over what will happen to them if Donald Trump is sworn in as President of the United States, just a little over 12 months from today!

This morning, 2 journalists were caught on a "Hot Mic" fantasizing about assassinating Donald Trump as he arrived for a D.C. court hearing on "Presidential Immunity".

So many journalists are off-the-rails these past few years, especially after the DOJ Inspector General fingered many of them for colluding with Obama's government to hurt incoming President Trump.

These two will be identified and placed on the growing "retribution" list.

It does get tough coming to terms with the limitations o the court and their separation of powers. Push comes to shove and they do have a responsibility to keep the state running. How they work on a slower frequency from the daily excitative decisions, or less frequent legislative decisions.

Lot of journalists dead in Gaza and the West Bank as the fourth estate gets hit.

Are they journalists? Gateway Pundit is known for making stuff up and in the video it's guys in police uniform - high vis, bike helmets and one in what looks like a bullet proof vest and full face helmet talking and has POLICE written on the back of her body armour (plus what looke like a police badge on her chest.

The video clearly shows police saying those things/jokes which is more concerning - no idea how GP concluded they're journalists.

EDIT: At 42 secs into the video is where the POLICE insignia on the female speakers body armour is clearly visible - there's another word on top of it that could be 'metropolitan' but is obscured by her hair.

they put their britches on just like everybody else and they are not special. they should be held to the same penalties for committing crimes that everyone else is.
