Lots of short sighted unenlightened comments to this thread.

How about enlightening us with your thoughts as well as sarcastic/smirky remarks?

How is it possible for me to give my enlightened thoughts to such a short sighted unenlightened question?

No worries, your reply was all the answer I needed personally to ascertain the depths of wisdom and knowledge present, as well as your intentions.

I always look at what the Russians are saying, BTW isn't it ironic they have the Ukraine war in the political section

Putin's evening meeting on the Crimean Bridge will be shown on the air. It will be interesting to see how he frames this. It will be on in about 3 hours, I always like watching the speeches live just to see the tone and the atmosphere in the presentation.

Ukraine are never going to get the oblasts back.

Putin though Ukraine could be taken in 10 days from the onset of the invasion.

His assumptions are about as acurate as yours.

"Anyway, I hope the retaliation is swift and massive for this terrorist act."

Hoping for more death and destruction, again?

Will probably be more strikes on civilian targets like apartment blocks, shopping malls, children's playgrounds and such.

The damage is more severe than originally reported. Both sides of the bridge are impassable; with one span needing full replacement and the other requiring significant reinforcements. It is said that the two spans will be closed to traffic until Sept 15 for the repairable segment and mid-November for the span requiring replacement. Here is a satellite photo showing the damage; one span has partially collapsed into the sea and the other has been knocked out of alignment by several feet.

The blast was yet another “pointless and brutal” terrorist attack by the Kiev regime, the Russian president says"

Is Putin thick in the head ?

He created a war and calls the bridge a act of terror .. It's war Mr Putin you know that thing you did .

If you want to see Russian trolls post on RT according to them Russia started nothing lol

That bridge (apart from being a Putin vanity project) is a strategic target.

As for acts of terror, that would be his daily strikes on civilian targets in Ukraine's towns and cities.

Russians who choose illegally occupied Crimea for their vacation deserve to experience every bit of chaos on that bridge

You do know that virtually every single Crimean was Russian, and very pro Russia... right?

Taking out the bridge makes sense regarding the Crimea.

Freedom To Ukraine and down with Putin's war and invasion.

I agree, so give the plan of action or a rough estimate of the years and the cost involved to realistically obtain that outcome.

ie how long do we need to make approximately 24,000 artillery shells per month? for Slavi Ukraine?

right now we are 75 billion American dollars every 500 days or so.

Good thing China hasn't invaded Taiwan, because we couldn't supply them with artillery shells.

Let's not forget Ukraine isn't our only benefactor, but they do get the most and will for the foreseeable future till the SMO is over. Ukrainian aid is at .33% of the US's GDP, that's the highest ratio of aid to any country in the 60 years.

Not even going to mention what exactly is the US getting for all of this expenditure.

Respectfully it would be a shame to spend billions and billions and in the end, Russia keeps the eastern Oblasts and we have made Russia closer to China and Iran.

Anything short of Ukraine getting the eastern oblasts back AND some sort of peaceful period with Russia where they can rebuild, it's gonna be difficult to identify what the average American taxpayer got out of this transaction. It certainly doesn't make Europe or NATO more secure, in any way shape, or form.

and what of the rumored peace deal...

The spoils of war come afterward, but you don't get something for nothing in this world, that's a guarantee.

Ukraine will be made to pay through the nose at some point putnam6 of that you can be sure, that's just how the cookie crumbles.

Ukraine are never going to get the oblasts back, it's simply impossible as they are running out of men to fight.

Anyway, I hope the retaliation is swift and massive for this terrorist act.

If this is a "terrorist act", how would you describe russia's neverending attacks on civilians?

This :
and the Russian people are complicit in this aggression and enabling Putin.
Shame on them

You do know if American aid dries up, it's over? now way Europe alone can support this effort. It could happen even with another Democrat in office and its likely if there is a Republican miracle?

Lots of questions for a just they will pay through the nose declaration.

As well as I did say the average American taxpayer, not TPTB or the connected politicians. In the end, Ukraine could be rebuilt with gold roads and buildings built with diamonds and the AATP won't see a GDD.

Not to mention if the grain deal is kaput, it's going to hurt feeding a lot of the 3rd world countries fairly soon

Search your feelings Luke you know it's true....
