Do you have evidence that Ukraine destroyed this dam?

The Russians withdraw from kherson city last year.

For a good reason.

Why are there two threads pretty much on the same subject by the same person?

Is this not against the TnC?

I suppose there is the slim possibility that it just gave way after being weakened by previous shelling. Looking less likely though. No reason for Russia to do it. It was under Russian control and they could have released the water whenever they liked without blowing it up. Looks like the US (via their Ukrainian proxy) can now add genuine war crimes to go with International Terrorism (Nordstream).

Below excerpt from the Geneva Convention.

Article 56 - Protection of works and installations containing dangerous forces

1. Works or installations containing dangerous forces, namely dams, dykes and nuclear electrical generating stations, shall not be made the object of attack, even where these objects are military objectives, if such attack may cause the release of dangerous forces and consequent severe losses among the civilian population.

Yes, I remember them saying at the time the withdrawal was because of fears the Ukrainians would blow the dam. Which would have cut off the Russian forces across the Dnieper and left them isolated.

The idea the Russians would do this is every bit as silly as the claim they blew up their own pipeline.

lol. Did you know that in medieval times the attackers would dig a moat and fill it with water before attacking a castle? So they could attack over the moat.

You guys are so gullible, it's amazing 🤡

The moment Russian trolls are posting information about an incident moments after it happens accusing Ukraine, start asking questions.

But the force at which you folks hit the net with this news is a touch suspect to anyone paying attention. It's almost like it's an information campaign to control the narrative.

And your evidence that Russia did it because their side says so right?

I have no evidence.

However, it is more plausible that Russia destroyed the dam, as they have already shown that they are prepared to destroy dams and other infrastructure across Ukraine, and in territory they occupy.

Perhaps, who benefits most by destroying the dam? Russia.

Hey vNex

You're wrong and a sensationalist propagandist! Russians blew up the damn.

TextWe have already several instances where Russians celebrated the destruction of the Nova Kakhovka dam and here he have the confession of a Russian soldier on the ground, even threatening to go after more dams in Ukraine.

My bet is the Zelensky regime did this. Russia has a very large agricultural trench system for drainage around the south of Ukraine. A natural barrier to be used in defence. If this terrorism has flooded those natural agricultural trenches then it makes no sense for Russia to do this, every reason for the Zelensky regime to do so and flush out Russian trench defences.

Is this part of the counter offensive by US/NATO? to blew up your own support in Southern Ukraine like odessa.

This kind of attack by damaging Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant.

Wont just have an environmental effects on Crimea but also southern areas of Ukraine, including Odessa..

Vid Confirmation

Who had control of this dam and mined it? It was the Russians. Moreover, the initial reaction to the dam sabotage was elation by Russian military bloggers; only after the scale of the disaster did they start saying Ukraine was responsible for it.

And why would Ukraine or NATO want to destroy the most important dam in the Ukraine?

Besides the direct ecological, economical and social damage of this terrorist act, how it may affect the nuclear power station upstream is perhaps as bad as any other impact. NATO should consider this a terrorist act against Europe in general and take drastic measures accordingly. Russia has crossed the Rubicon by this action.

So if true about Russia not really putting up an effort then why fight or support a leadership that let's it's own people die because they are just meh

Ukraine/AFU tried to attack.
Already had experienced massive losses earlier today and during the weekend.
1,000 Ukrainian soldiers died for the sake of America's World Order.

Thanx for the Kremlin propaganda as per usual. You know for a fact the losses you claim, huh?

That same Ukrankian command that keeps claiming how they are going to lunch a counter offensive for the past four months now?

As opposed to the Russian command that said this "special military operation" would take 3-7 days?

And you have already created a post about the supposed huge losses that Ukrainians have had in the last several days on account of some big attacks of theirs. If this is even partly true, isn't it evidence of Ukraine going on the offensive? You can't even be consistent in your propaganda spewing.

There is also speculation that the last Russian artillery barrage that hit the dam may have weakened the structure thus leading to its collapse.

Then again there is also speculation as to a series of explosions heard throughout the night with apparent allegations of unverified video evidence doing the rounds somewhere.

Guess time will tell.

I’m curious to see what comes of this, especially evidence.

But I’m also surprised that Russia cries foul when they went after utilities before winter.

They’ve invaded a nation, intentionally went for civilian infrastructure to demoralize them. And they scream terrorism when the same tactics are (allegedly) used.

Welcome to war.

Here's the thing the scale of damage probably eliminates missile strikes does it not? it looked like two huge sections were hit. Obviously I don't know but thats my thoughts looking and the damage.

Could Ukraine sneak in and plant charges and get out and blow them up all without the Russians noticing a thing?

Just thinking out loud

The Ukrainians, last year, announced that the Russians had mined the dam. They have also stated that the nuclear plant was also mined.

Of course you believe the Ukrankian side.

And of course you're parroting the Russian side.

So far in this war information from Ukraine has been much more accurate than that from Russia.

Before destroying the Kakhovka dam today, Russia reportedly raised the water level to a record 17.5 meters, leaving the gates closed. They created a flooding as large as possible in order to most likely prevent the Ukrainian army from conducting a counteroffensive in the area.
