More than 2,000 residents were told to evacuate Tuesday afternoon after a large fire broke out at a recycling plant in Indiana, sending plumes of black smoke into the sky.

The fire broke out in the City of Richmond, which is about 70 miles east of Indianapolis and near Ohio’s western border.

More toxicity for the citizens... but the recycling business is booming... saving the Earth.

"The smoke is definitely toxic," said the Indiana State Fire Marshall on scene according to Fox 59.

"This fire is going to burn for a few days," he added.

May God help those people who are close to this fire...

So much for a gun behind every blade of grass.
Pour one out for the dusty roads of the American Dream.
Wake up, Neo...

Lord, have mercy.

Oh my, that's totally ruined the US's carbon target. That smoke plume is throwing more pollution into the air than all the cars in the US for the last 100 years.

I used to be over maintenance at a plastic recycling plant. The water they are shown spraying on it does not work. They will have to spread the plastic out to less than 6 inches deep and let it cool before it will go out. The water is just spreading the chemicals in the burnt plastic out onto the ground and into the ground water.
