The school shootings have gotten a lot of people on the edge these days. I suppose that is the new norm.

We decide to play Capture the Flag at night on The Hill at UT’s campus in Knoxville. Sure the campus security was alerted on reports of “a disturbance” on The Hill which is the old section of classroom buildings. We played through with the extra danger of not being spotted. After an hour or so of patrols with the car’s spotlights, we finally let them know what was going on. They appreciated they could finally quit looking for us. This was back in 1989.

Today, would be a SWAT standoff with dogs and drones searching. While CNN reads off lists of domestic terrorist organizations as suspects.

Fight as a last resort.

When I worked at the USPS, it was plastered all over as well as when I worked at Fed Ex.
