Every few months or so? It's normal enough to put my kids through periodic active shooter drills, and our newest school even has bars that come out of the ceiling over the doors so the shooters can't enter! My son went through those drills when he was 10.

Yes, actually, her gender may have everything to do with it if she was taking mind- and body-altering cross-sex hormones.

She was also under psychological/psychiatric care for mental/emotional disorders, and may have also been taking other psychoactive drugs. It is well known and well established that homicidal and suicidal ideation and compulsions are well known and well documented adverse effects of some psychiatric meds.

It is also well known and well documented that many/most school shooters have known mental/emotional disorders, and are on psychiatric meds.

There is a link, and it needs to be recognized and addressed.

I would much rather help the person and never need to worry about that person shooting anyone, than to ban guns but still have desperate broken people struggling and hurting both themselves and others.

Switzerland has VERY strict gun control! You have to serve 4 years in the military to actually have one. They also mandate that people serve in the military. My BoDy mY cH01cE. But, yes, they do have a lot of guns. Nowhere near America, but they are armed.

You forgot Czech Republic. They have even more liberal gun laws than the most Pro-2A state in America (you can own pretty much anything they don't care, if they had to arrest everyone with an Vz.58 they'd have to arrest the whole country). School shootings are almost totally unknown.

Personally I blame the Media. School shootings are covered for weeks after the fact with endless selfish arrogant pontificating by "experts", grifters, talking heads and politicians who probably jumped for joy when the kids got killed because it meant more time to promote themselves and their moronic agenda which probably isn't even remotely related to the school shooting.

A high tolerance for mental illness because to institutionalize them against their will would be cruel and mean.

A strong desire to destroy the nuclear family because it's old. There's a reason why pretty much every successful society of mankind is built around it and it's not because ... *gasp* Christian.

A dedication to eradicating anything and everything that brings societal cohesion because weak, isolated, immoral, ignorant people must be ruled for the good of everyone, and those in power very much desire to rule.

Like vets with PTSD? Kids born with autism or aspergers? People with depression and anxiety?

I have a very high tolerance for those people, and many more with mental illness. In fact, tolerance is a pretty hateful word. I'm happy to coexist with them.

I don't hate trans folk. I know their life cannot be easy. I also know not all trans people are doing the same things for the same reasons. I have much sympathy for some, great empathy for some, and yes, contempt and pity for some. But I don't hate anyone.

Because it's an option, and apparently an attractive option for some reason, but I expect the very public and very widespread notoriety they know their evil deed will receive is part of it. Perhaps narcissism and/or narcissistic rage? Or maybe a martyr complex? Or it could just be a bitter twisted soul bent on maximum hurt and devastation in their thirst for revenge. Maybe all of the above or maybe none of the above. Maybe it's not a one-label-fits-all situation.

We don't know. So let's find out.

They are mentally ill sociopaths. We've had right wing school shooters, left-wing, woke-wing, ect..

Blame anyone but access to guns. As usual.

A combination of all of it is to blame, that's why there is no easy fix or solution.

Politics and schools are teaching kids today that transgenderism is normal and should be accepted by everyone or you'll be punished. Send out a tweet or FB post that transgenderism isn't normal or acceptable and risk getting fired from your job or shunned by some group you do business with, along with any other number of retaliations that our government officials suggest and support. Our government encourages everyone to be a victim that should retaliate in some way or another.

While most of us agree that mentally ill people shouldn't have easy access to guns, it doesn't matter. They find them anyway. Blame the gun dealers because they didn't do a full background check? Blame the therapist because they didn't fully report the mental illness in order to for that background check to be accurate? Regardless, even if all of that stopped a mentally ill person from legally purchasing a gun, it wouldn't stop them from stealing or buying a gun through an illegal purchase.

Last, but not least, blame the mentally ill person and or everyone in their lives that may have contributed to their mental illness or behavior? Maybe part of the problem is the lack of money in being able to keep severely mentally ill people confined and contained like they once were. Politics today would certainly make sure that doesn't happen.

Where does it end? It doesn't. The arguments are endless and the current political climate only compounds the situation.
