CHATgpt-4 short story when Aliens arrive

To use Chatgpt you have to register with an email and since I have a couple of emails I used the email of google which I never use for correspondence. I still felt weird as I might be entering the den of lions from some old movie. I got the CHAT to write or expand on some of the stories I have written before and after playing around I finally asked it to write a story about "When Aliens Arrive." You can ask the program to rewrite a story and it will change the story line each time a rewrite is performed ... the following story is the first draft

This is the story it came up with:

It was a normal day on Earth when suddenly, a strange object appeared in the sky. At first, people thought it was just a shooting star or some kind of experimental aircraft, but as it got closer, it became clear that something strange was happening.

Well the ending was envisioned in 1897 by H G Wells. The aliens come here from their pristine world and our germs (which we have been immune to for thousands of years) kills them off. End of story.
