Taking Off Flags From Various Threads?

For a while now I have suspected that there have been threads of mine which have had stars and flags removed, such as past threads that were liked, yet until now I just let it go or thought nothing of it until it just happened again.

Those threads are mostly political threads.

In the following thread last night I had 40 flags, even when looking at the main page of ATS it still shows 40 flags, but when going to the thread it shows 39 flags. I should have taken a picture last night, but I did confirm that the thread last night had 40 flags.

So at least one flag was removed since last night from that thread. How come?

You can remove a flag after giving it (I've done it accidently and thought it was weird, too).

Someone must have done that.

Never been able to do that, and I have given flags and stars by mistake but can't take them off.

Absolutely correct. And before asked, mods can only remove their flag same as members. And no one can remove stars.

Yes. The Overlord wrote that into the code when he did the revamp, but you can't remove stars, so I don't know where that's coming from.

NVM, I did try just now and after several attempts, I got a couple fails, was able to remove a flag. Had no idea this could be done.

As for stars I could have been mistaken. However I did just notice that if you keep reloading a thread you can keep adding stars and I wonder how many people do that making it look like that a response is liked by many members when it is one or two members who keep using this glitch(?)
