Yellen makes a surprise visit to Kiev, claims that the US is not in a recession because of a strong job's ecmcony, ignores the cost of living.

In the video by reuters Yellens defends Joe Biden and the current status of the economy.

The economy is remaining strong while the living costs are rising?

What are you on about??? Unemployment at 53 year low?? According to the mainstream media there are millions of jobs than no Americans are taking that's why they must have an influx of migrants to fill these jobs.

Yellen called on Congress to raise the U.S. debt limit, warning that failure to do so would produce "an economic and financial catastrophe."

If the economy is so good the debt should be reducing itself not getting larger. We have been in a recession for over a year. During this time Manufacturers have driven up food prices while making thos quantities less. That shows growth for those companies also while the consumer pays for it.

Yellen is beyond out of touch.

For a war zone it sure is a hot spot for touring elites

Ukraine is their bread and butter; both sides of the isle and practically every government agency as well.

The only people who are not on board are the majority of citizens of each country.

Labor-participation, the real metric, is still down from before the pandemic, and at 1970's levels.

At least one automaker is intentionally limiting production of their high-profit trucks. You don't do that in the face of a roaring economy and bright outlook.

They've been spreading the same lie In the UK too.

There are plenty of people to do the jobs. They just aren't employing them.

The fact that they keep saying there's no recession is enough to know for sure there is.

Unemployment rate means not much in current economic environment.
Huge companies like Meta Google Amazon are all laying off tens of thousands of employees.
AI robots and automation will gradually replace most of today's labor workers.
We're beginning to see a massive cost cutting measures by big corps and it'll still keep our UE rate very low. Why? too many out of skilled workers will just quit searching and leave the job market.

Yellen is touting everything's all good but the future is not so bright as it seems.

Biden is trying to bring all the factory businesses back home and will see if it'll be enough to dodge recession and save a maxed out credit limit economy.

Putin can't take over the whole Ukraine.. just wants to overpower eastern part of Ukraine.
Biden and Yellen are brave enough to know Putin isn't insane.
Vice versa, would US bombard Iran if Putin makes a trip there? A very risky business and the consequence of nuclear war is just too high. I don't think so.

They also claim that Putin/Russia wants to rebuild USSR, that is not what Russia wanted to do, Russia has no interests in that. If they did they would done this when US was in Afghanistan war.

Russia did start with Crimea in 2014. Putin didn't even show up at Gorbachev's funeral. That tells a lot about his mindset.
