Thanks for bringing this. Something to reflect on.

I can't sleep and a few hours ago my head started splitting,
prefaced by a loud static (electric) cracking in ceiling, a shock, and then the ringing
out of nowhere. I moved to a safer spot, with more layers of flooring above (fewer below)
and the heavy metal blanket, with N/S bedroll alignment.
Usually this works. But it's a trade off.

I was reviewing this, always worth a repeat, when startled out of sleep by
the closing song, which is terrifying in tone and intent. Like looking in my
rear-view mirror
and seeing Mars Bars
(or red firetrucks with an ambo coursing slowly down the street).

Dutchsinse mentioned in one of his videos on the recent Turkey
earthquake that the antipode (direct opposite side of planet)
from the Turkey quake is around New Zealand.

For a rather unscientific demonstration of how shock waves
can travel through a sphere to the antipode, watch this video.
Starts around the 6:30 mark.

I hope Muzzy is OK!! I'm thinking a lot of that water is from the cyclone.

An earthquake on top of the Cyclone and flooding...yikes!

I doubt the video from the OP is anything to do with a quake. looks more like a flood from Australia a few years ago..

My sister lives in NewZealand.
shes been telling me about the Realy Bad rain started two weeks ago!

A lot of this was cyclone damage, the whole country is in a state of emergency. The weather is just settling down, Massive power outages. loads of places cut off with road slips.
