I very well might be losing it but this is what I have started to see. Feel free to add pieces , or tear apart my thoughts (trust me I would be thrilled to be wrong) I just need to unload this some where.

Start with China, easiest to show and we are all familiar at this point. Zero covid policy, bank defaults, debt problems, severe drought on top of the contaminated water issues (farming problems) civil disobedience, and with the limits placed on micro chips that manufacturing base is now in jeopardy. (Greater risk for Taiwan I think) forgot real estate bubble.

Japan covid cases going through the roof, potential problems in their economy due to worker health issues.

Iran and Saudi Arabia seem to have slowed down their proxy war in Yemen but still a threat to oil production.

United States, severe drought, beef cattle herds projected to shrink between 30-50%, farm yields much lower than expected , with interest rates climbing many farms are at risk.energy prices predicted to spike in 2023 with the continued attack on fossil fuels.

Europe energy prices bad enough some nations are subsidizing (or trying to) energy costs for consumers driving inflationary spending. Along with NATO getting more involved in Ukraine risking a wider conflict.

Russia caught in a trap of their own making in Ukraine, leading to increased costs at home (a long with high casualties) causing civil disobedience.

Belarus still deciding if they enter the war in Ukraine or finally try to separate from Putin not while dealing with civil disobedience at home.

Then Serbia has moved combat troops to the border with Kosovo, claiming mistreatment of ethnic Serbia.

I am certain I forgot a few things, so have I gone nutters or are we seeing some serious 1913 vibes.

Mathew 24:6

And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

And I feel the current world is comparable to the situation across Europe and the United States before WWII broke out -
1930 brought in an era of devastating depression, unemployment, foreclosures, huge costs for everything, homeless, civil unrest - which all started in the 1920's.
Here we are 100 years later, with history repeating itself.

I also would like you to be wrong.

Sadly I've seen this coming since I reached the age of reason, and there's no stopping it- too many people are too stupid, and there's too many people in general.

Enjoy a steak while you can still buy one, soon they're won't be farms to raise cattle or money to pay farmers.

I've always heard war is needed to stop a spiraling economy and force a rest. With this being global, the future looks like a rough ride.

Author William w Johnston wrote a men adventure series called out of the ashes. (He was retired cia) that also has some freaky parallels to today, in the first book one of the generals said everyone knows it's time for war there is no stopping it. (Para phrase)

I have been thinking about it a lot lately (he died some years back), I have been wondering how much he put in his books came from reports/plans/war game scenarios he was briefed on.

He also nailed the ultra liberal it's never the criminals fault and embrace of communism in the US by the left.

This was published in 1983.

And the evil world governments will steal everyone’s money, food, and dignity, and dance as they watch it all burn.

But to bring it up to date, I'm going with:

1. Asteroids.
2. Aliens (hostile varieties).
3. Ebola.

Past so many years me and Mrs C have been saying "Well, next year can't be any worse, can it"?

Totally agree.

@Irishhaf - I think this means you aren't losing it or going crazy at all. Everything going on right now does look like it's all on the edge of something world changing.

Saw an article the other day about any portrait/painting of a confederate soldier was being removed from west point.

I immediately thought of that saying people butcher all the time (I will now butcher it). Hard times make strong men, strong men make good times, good times make weak men, ( we are her in between I think) weak men make hard times.

I truly think what is coming is way worse than anything we could possibly imagine.

In 1913 the world was spiraling toward WWI and the industrial revolution was still kicking off in full swing, almost 70 years later.

This is much different I think...we will lose electricity, fuels, food, etc...money will be useless, credit and debit cards will be useless...there is a storm coming! It's been brewing for awhile!

Now is the time to think about how to live (survive) with the bare essentials because the luxuries we've become accustom to are soon going to be a thing of the distant past!

From the Old Testament, 1 Chronicles 12, vv. 23 & 32 --

Now these are the numbers of men armed for battle who came to David at Hebron to turn Saul’s kingdom over to him, in accordance with the word of the LORD: ... From Issachar, men who understood the times and knew what Israel should do: 200 chiefs with all their kinsmen at their command.

There are men like this in every culture, every generation. Just sayin' ...

Good observation , the time in recent last decades was for many good times, which has effect to men . Surely the weakness has been noticed , take Biden as an example.
And the general population acting like sheep with hoping the goverment to save them from common cold. Bad times..

I've felt the same thing for a long time. I keep telling myself that I'm crazy, that it won't get that bad, that I'm just digesting too much doom porn, that I'm over-analyzing and over reacting. Sometimes I even convince myself of it for a couple of days. but it won't go away.

Either I have a major psychosis issue, or we're in for a real sh!t storn. I hope that I'm psyschotic. But I don't think so.

You and me both, when I was 18 I felt my kids would fight the next major war as adults.

Older I get (just turned 50) closer it feels, now I'm convinced that light is a train and it jumped the track.

Hurts after being almost convinced in the 90s that peace was a serious possibility.

Let's do something different this time.

Instead of killing each other how about we simply blow up all the reserve banks, starting with BIS in Switzerland.

Just to see what happens, idk, feeling cute.

This, exactly.

History has been written in advance for believers.

History among men, does repeat itself. Till the time, it doesn't.
